Unstoppable Cyborg: Cristiane Santos wins gold medal at 2011 Jiu Jitsu championships

Cristiane Santos (“Cyborg”) is probably the GOAT as far as women’s MMA is concerned- current 135 pound champion Marloes Coenen and former poster girl of women’s MMA Gina Carano both got dominated by Cyborg in their respective fights. Since no one wants to fight Cyborg, she’s been keeping herself busy by working on her wrestling and judo while continuing to improve her jiujitsu skills. Last week, she won the gold medal at the Mundials in the women’s heavyweight purple belt category. Notice the large ‘0’ on the scoreboard for her opponent- winning a world grappling tournament is impressive enough, but sweeping world class opponents? That’s almost unheard of. Can anyone stop Cyborg? Is it good that women’s MMA has such a dominant champion? Here’s some of the footage from the weekend:
