Hurricane Sandy has caused mass destruction to the East Coast. Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com traveled to Baldwin, NY to get a first hand look at what Sandy had done to UFC middleweight contender Chris Weidman’s house and the surrounding area.
Weidman was one of millions on the Eastern Seaboard affected by Hurricane Sandy on Oct. 30, 2012.
“No one’s ever really gone through this around here before, so no one can really tell what’s gonna happen. We have kids, so we have to worry about the mold, make sure there’s no mold coming up. I’m gonna have to [stay] with my parents. It’s still new, I’m still numb to the situation. Me and my wife haven’t gotten the chance to sit down and figure out what we’re gonna do.”
He details more about the Hurricane, as well as his upcoming fight with Tim Boetsch at UFC 155 in this 42 minute interview with Helwani.
