Diego Sanchez defeated Takanori Gomi in a very controversial split decision that even had UFC President Dana White scratching his head. Sanchez returned to the lightweight division for his first fight in over a years time. When the stand-up game didn’t work, “The Dream” attempted to go for takedowns, but Gomi’s wrestling defense didn’t allow that. In the end the two takedowns that Sanchez landed early in the fight seemed to be the difference maker. Check out the highlights below to decide for yourself.
