It was a three round dominating performance for Rory MacDonald en route to a unanimous decision victory against the legend B.J. Penn. In the second round, it looked as if MacDonald would finish Penn with a body kick followed by some nice combinations. However, Penn was game to not let that happen. MacDonald later explained that he was trying to finish the fight, but was picking his punches and being precise rather than sloppy. With that win, MacDonald moves on to 14-1 in his MMA career. Following the win he called out the man that holds that only blemish on his record, Carlos Condit. UFC on FOX 5 went down from the KeyArena in Seattle, Washington. UFC on FOX 5 Video Highlights: Rory MacDonald punishes BJ Penn

Are you like me? Are you one of those frustrated BJ Penn fans who just doesn't understand why he chooses to continue to compete at 170 pounds? Do you find it strange that the smallest welterweight in the division would come out of retirement to take on the largest welterweight in the division? Well, after watching Lions football every Sunday for the last 20 some years of my life...

'UFC on FOX 5: Penn vs. MacDonald' fight preview and prediction

BJ Penn is back, and he looks amazing.  Anyone who’s seen his videos recently or recent photos has seen an amazingly chiseled and focused Penn.  In stark contrast there’s the new look Rory MacDonald who looks to be auditioning for a new part in The Big Bang Theory.  I guess he took the whole, “The UFC is going Metro” thing literally.   It’s like we’re all finally...

BJ Penn UFC retirement talk is misguided

BJ Penn’s swollen eye hasn’t even healed and people are already calling for his retirement. The UFC president along with several members of the media think it’s time for the Prodigy to step down which is odd considering I just watched a guy go three-rounds with the future of the division.

Should BJ Penn retire (for good)?

If this is really it, and some hope for BJ’s sake it is, then it was a good run. BJ Penn without a doubt is UFC Hall of Fame worthy, even though his pedestrian on paper record of 16-9-2 would make the average fan scoff, we know the the kid from Hilo would just scrap [...]

Rory MacDonald picks up unanimous decision win over B.J. Penn

SEATTLE – As Joe Rogan said, the fight between Rory MacDonald and B.J. Penn could be a changing of the guard; and it was just that. Both men wasted no time getting to work. Penn attempted a takedown, however MacDonald followed up with a knee. Both men were swinging and neither landed a significant blow in the first round. However, a body kick changed things up in the second round...

Rory MacDonald gets called out after UFC on FOX 5 victory

Following UFC on FOX 5 this past Saturday, Rory MacDonald was called out by two of his fellow welterweights. Both Josh Koscheck and Siyar Bahadurzada must have had their eyes on MacDonald when he put a beating on B.J. Penn in their three round main card war. MacDonald (14-1) took the mic immediately after his win and called out the only man who holds a victory over him… Carlos...

Dana White Urges BJ Penn to Retire (Again)

In the fight business, there’s a cruel reality that athletes can turn old overnight. Well, in BJ Penn’s (Pictured) case, it took Rory MacDonald only 15 minutes to make the former two-divisional UFC champion look like he’s well beyond his prime. If you were to ask UFC president Dana White, the 33-year-old needs to call it quits … again. “BJ is a warrior,” White stated...

Roy Nelson Can’t Find a Willing VADA Drug Testing Partner

Entering this past Saturday’s scrap with BJ Penn, welterweight Rory MacDonald was challenged by Penn to undergo random drug testing conducted by VADA (Voluntary Anti-Doping Association). While MacDonald obliged with “The Prodigy’s” request, he admitted that the process was a bit “annoying.” The distraction of having an agent pounding on his door unannounced demanding...
