Travis Pastrana breaks ankle at X-Games

The 17th annual Summer X-Games opened up last night in Los Angeles and one of the most anticipated competitions on the first night was the Moto X Best Trick event, featuring Travis Pastrana. It seems like every year Pastrana comes to the X Games with hopes of pulling off something no rider has ever done before (his first-ever double backflip in the event in 2006 was one of the best moments in X Games history) and that's a big reason why he's always a fan favorite. Pastrana entered the competition last night in hopes of nailing the first ever 720 on a dirtbike, but for the second straight year he ended up crashing and injuring himself, being forced to exit the competition early. After his first attempt failed last night he immediately got back to the ramp and tried his luck again, but ended up crashing again, with the bike coming down on his right leg, breaking his ankle and foot.
