The Pit Stop:
In one of the final races of the NASCAR Nationwide Series season the drivers are back to Texas for a 300 mile event. In qualifying that that happened earlier today Alex Bowman won the race off pit road.
The race started off with a couple of early passes as Brad Keselowski took the race lead on lap six and then started to pull away from the field. Alex Bowman and Sam Hornish Jr. led laps during this time. Brad then started to build up to an almost five second lead by lap 50. Around lap 49 though it was the start of green flag pit stops.
Brad Keselwoski finally pitted on lap 52 giving Austin Dillion the lead of the race. Sam Hornish Jr. though wound up hitting the commitment cone causing a penalty. When the pit stops were over Brad was back in the race lead. The green flag racing finally came to an end on lap 71 for debris. The leaders pit and Brad Keselowski kept the race lead as he took no tire. A bunch of cars including Sam Hornish Jr. took the waive around to get...

FORDS OUT FRONT -- It's no secret that 2013 has been a disappointing season for the Ford contingent, with 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Brad Keselowski missing the Chase for the Sprint Cup and Roush Fenway Racing teammates Carl Edwards and Greg Biffle out of championship contention. But you'd never know that Friday afternoon at Texas Motor Speedway, where Edwards captured...

Back in 2007, Jimmie Johnson chased down Matt Kenseth in the Chase race at Texas Motor Speedway on his way to Victory Lane, and ultimately the NASCAR Sprint Cup championship.
Then just last year at Texas, we had Jimmie and Brad Keselowski put on a really great show in the closing laps. I expect the same kind of race again at Texas this weekend.

You can parse the numbers a hundred different ways, but the reality is Matt Kenseth and Jimmie Johnson are in a virtual dead heat, both in points and a whole host of statistical measurements.
That isn't likely to change in this afternoon's AAA Texas 500 at Texas Motor Speedway, where Johnson will start third behind the Fords of Brad Keselowski and Carl Edwards, with Kenseth...
