Landon Cassill may again get the chance to race a full season at the Sprint Cup level. Last season Cassill drove the #51 car for James Finch with a career best finish of 12th coming at Michigan.
It was announced days ago that Front Row Motorsports and Cassill had an agreement in place to put him behind the wheel of their third car the #26 for the Daytona 500 and possible other races.
Fox Sports is now claiming that Cassill may have found a full time ride for a upstart team that purchased the remains of Red Bull Racing. Front Row Motorsports GM Jerry Friese said that the organization had no ill feelings towards the youngster and that “We’re certainly not going to stand in his way for an opportunity that was more than we could offer him at this time.”
Travis Kvapil and Tony Raines are both being considered to drive the #26 car at Daytona.
