Let the speculation begin. The Home Depot now offers Penske trucks for rental at some of it’s stores. Could the Home Depot switch it’s sponsorship to Penske backed Ford’s in 2013?
When Penske made a deal with Shell/Pennzoil to use their motor oil in his rental truck service the oil company became the primary sponsor of the #22 car. The company wanted a top notch championship contending driver in the car so Kurt Busch was moved to the ride. The car is now driven by AJ Allmendinger.
While this is just speculation at it’s finest it is worth noting that Joey Logano, the current driver of the Home Depot car at Joe Gibbs Racing, does not have a contract for 2012. In addition it was widely speculated that Home Depot pressure...
