getty images NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Denny Hamlin will return to the track this weekend at Martinsville Speedway. Hamlin was forced out of the No. 11 FedEx Toyota Camry last week at Auto Club Speedway after experiencing blurred vision. Hamlin first sought medical attention last Saturday before again seeing officials in the infield care center prior to last Sunday’s race. Sam Hornish drove his car. Once referred to a local hospital a small piece of metal was noticed in Hamlin’s eye. Doctors were able to remove the metal and Hamlin noticed improvement. No other problems were found following a CT scan. Once Hamlin arrived back home he saw a doctor. He was instructed to rest and return on Wednesday. Following an evaluation Hamlin has been cleared to return to racing this weekend at Martinville. In 16 career starts at Martinsville the 33-year-old Hamlin has four career wins, nine top-fives and 13 top-ten finishes.
