Eric McClure headed to Dover Int’l Speedway this weekend for his first race this season on the one-mile concrete surface known as the “Monster Mile.” Despite starting the 200-mile event from the 37th position and battling a car that was primarily tight in the center of the turns, McClure rebounded to finish the OneMain Financial 200 as follows:
26th- Eric McClure, No. 14 Hefty®/Reynolds Wrap® Toyota Camry
At the drop of the green flag, McClure quickly began working his way through the field and by lap 14 was scored in the 29th position.
Early in the race, the car was loose on entry and exit of the turns and tight in the center. To help pacify the car’s handling, the Wes Ward-led crew changed four tires, added fuel, and made air-pressure and chassis adjustments during the competition caution period on lap 45. After quick work by the Hefty®/Reynolds Wrap® Racing™ team, McClure was scored in the 26th position when he returned to the track.
