NASCAR Truck Series driver Jennifer Jo Cobb says she feels “in danger” after rival driver Mike Harmon was charged with stealing her team trailer, valued at $279,000.
Harmon turned himself into the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Department and posted $10,000 bond. He says he’s innocent and claims he was at a race in Darlington, SC on the Saturday when the trailer was taken from Cobb’s team shop, according to USA Today Sports.
While Harmon has to appear in court Friday morning, he’s still planning to race against Cobb this weekend, which doesn’t sit too well with her.
“I absolutely feel in danger,” Cobb said Thursday. “Some of the things he’s been saying to the media. I heard there was a quote about going for the jugular. What does that mean? And somebody who is looking at a felony theft, what means would they go through?”
