Danica Patrick is officially divorced.
Several news sources reported on Thursday that Patrick's divorce from Paul Hospenthal was finalized on April 17 in the Superior Court of Arizona in Maricopa County.
Patrick announced her plans to divorce last November, then officially filed in January. According to multiple reports, the judge signed the consent decree of dissolution of marriage on April 15 and it was filed with the clerk on April 17.
Arizona is a no-fault divorce state. According to the Sporting News, Patrick and Hospenthal had a prenuptial agreement.
Patrick, meanwhile, has notably and publicly been dating fellow NASCAR Sprint Cup rookie of the year contender Ricky Stenhouse Jr. this season.
She started the season on a high note, winning the pole position for the Daytona 500, the first female driver to do so. She went on to finish eighth in the race, the best finish for a female driver in the premier NASCAR event.
She is currently 25th in the Sprint Cup standings.
Patrick set the standard for women drivers last season, finishing 10th in the Nationwide Series standings for the top finish for a female driver in any of NASCAR's top three touring divisions.
