LAS VEGAS - DECEMBER 02: NASCAR driver Ryan Newman speaks at Las Vegas Motorspeedway for the Roast of four time NASCAR Champion Jimmie Johnson during Day 1 of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champions Week on December 2, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Photo by Todd Warshaw/Getty Images for NASCAR)
Ryan Newman has fired back at Kyle Busch after the latter called Newman a "stupid idiot" and an "ogre" following Sunday's NASCAR race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway."I'm just afraid if I re-arranged his face I might fix it," Newman said with a laugh during his weekly spot on SiriusXM Radio's NASCAR Channel. "He's frustrated finishing third or wherever he was after hitting me first and then getting a little rub down the straightaway. Just imagine how I feel. It is what it is."We know that he's not very bright. He's a heck of a talent but he's not very bright. And I'll leave it at that."Busch cast the first stone in the feud when he singled out Newman for aggressive driving during the Camping World RV Sales 301. Busch's older brother, Kurt, was involved in a lap 226 crash that included Newman and Matt Kenseth."I thought Kurt and Matt and my incident was strictly a racing incident," Newman said. "I admit to (hitting) Kyle down the straightway after he blasted me into the corner. I didn't crash him. He didn't crash me. I don't know what he's got to be mad about. Evidently he's got a bone to pick for some reason."Busch also made light of the fact that Newman is currently without a ride for next season. Newman didn't seem too fond of his comment about that, either, adding "what comes around goes around.""After his comment about me not having a ride, it seems like he has way more to lose than I do," Newman said. "If he's going to run his mouth, he better be able to back up running his mouth.''Via USA TODAY
