Josh Wise will have a lot on his mind when he hits the track at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway this weekend. And he wouldn't have it any other way.
The driver of the No. 35 MDS Transport Ford knows that the flat, .526-mile oval requires teams to focus on various aspects of their cars, including taking care of their brakes and tires, and not just simply going fast. But he doesn't mind multi-tasking behind the wheel. The old short track reminds him of the local tracks where he grew up racing, and winning championships, on the USAC circuit.
Now a full-time driver in the Sprint Cup Series for Front Row Motorsports, Wise will be making his third Cup career start at Martinsville on Sunday.
