2007-08 Slam Dunk Stats (Overall Leaders, Most by Rookies, Most by Players Under 6'4, etc.)

To the surprise of no one, D-Howard, Amare & Chandler led the NBA in dunks this past season. But what about everyone else? All 353 NBA players who recorded at least 1 dunk in '07-08 are listed below.

I have included a few special categories as well: Most Dunks per Game, Most Dunks by Rookies, Most Dunks by Players Over 30, Most Dunks by Players Under 6-4, Most Dunks by a Team, and Fewest Dunks by a Team.

Top Dunkers - Howard, Amare, Chandler...

Kobe has only two fewer dunks than the entire Spurs team, and no one under 6'4" can come close to Monta's ups. Love it. Great post.

Wow. Can anyone on the Spurs jump?

Cool post. I didn't see Anthony Johnson though. He had his only dunk at Denver. Mikki Moore, he can put on a show. And no wonder no one likes the Spurs, they don't dunk.

I noticed Johnson while separating players under 6-4. Surprisingly, he had 5 dunks!

Thanks for the comments guys...

Cool post, but it doesn't mean anything. I don't care if my team even dunks once a whole season, as long as they win. Dunks are fun to watch, but i can see other teams do them, I just want wins

To say that dunks don't mean anything is an ignorant statement. They excite or quiet the home crowd and often ignite scoring runs. Would coaches call a timeout immediately following a big Jordan dunk if it didn't mean anything?

The Spurs have been a winning team for a long time thanks to their experience, sound fundamentals, excellent execution, and 2 of the greatest coaches & power forwards ever, but their lack of athleticism (apparent in their dunk stats) may have finally caught up to them.

I'm not saying that a lot of slams equals success, but it definitely means SOMETHING. Anyway, I'm not here to just talk about dunks. I'm working on a follow-up article that is going to be much more revealing! (Hint: it will prove how athletic and VERSATILE the Warriors really are).

Gerald Green only had 7? I know he only played a half a season, but wow. Now you can really truely say that the Spurs do play old school style. Like when dunks were illegal.

LMAO! I didn't even notice the Spurs didn't dunk! Still like 'em, though - old school, and all.
