Can Carmelo and the Nuggets finally come together?? HAHAHA - yeah, for 60 games and then they will implode! I know, I followed them for over 20 years!
-
Oden won't play more than 41 games this season
-
-
If Oden stays on the court, watch out - the Blazers are the NBA's Rays (only the Blazers actually finished at .500 last year)
-
Oden and Roy are the superstars on the team but the player to watch out for is LaMarcus Aldridge. Travis Outlaw will start at small forward against Lakers.
-
The Blazers will be good, but when was the last time a team this hyped actually delivered? They won a lot of their games by flying under the radar and surprising opponents. Not gonna happen this season.
-
I think the last time the hype delivered was last year with the celtics. The Blazers are gonna kill this year and they don't need to fly under the radar.
-
The Blazers have 2 hyped rookies this year, only 1 has to deliver for there to be an improvement. Don't forget about Jerryd Bayless either.
-
It's a team filled with rookies - so who really knows what this team is really capable of? But in my opinion - they should be slightly better than their .500 team last year
-
The Celtics had three proven veterans. The Blazers, who I like and am not bashing, have only a handful of players who have even hit five years in the league. Blake, Outlaw, Pryzbilla and LaFrentz are good puzzle pieces, but none of them have leadership potential.
-
Ever hear of a guy named Brandon Roy? Just because he is a third year player doesn't mean he can't lead the team. He played 4 years of college and is confident and mature beyond his years. He is their veteran leader.
-
I'm not saying Roy is going to take them to the finals but he is going to lead them to the playoffs.
-
Roy's a leader, but I think you need at least two playoff series under your belt before you can be called a veteran ... leaders have to be game-tested and proven, they can't just be the best player on their team (as Roy was last year). He showed leadership potential, but it's still premature ... but hell, everything else in an NBA season preview is ...
