I'm sorry. But, if this writer would draft John Salmons ahead of T.Mac and Michael Redd, I have to question his credibility. Super thumbs down.

Well if Redd did something besides score he would be a better fantasy player. I'd agree T-Mac is better though.

'Cause three's, FT%, and 4.3 rebounds count for nothing.

Yes, draft John Salmons over Michael Redd, woohoo!

Salmons only played 6 minutes less than Redd... and Redd has better numbers in every statistical category, except FT% only 0.3% better on 3.2 attempts. As opposed to Michael Redd's 6.8 attempts.

T-Mac's better, but rembember about his injuries and his stats took a hit (3PT%, FTs). If you look at Salmons fantasywise, now that he's starting full time instead of just 41 games he's going to smoke Redd. If you look at his starting splits, he outplays Redd at every stat except PPG and FTs. For Redd, it's hard bieng a premier 3 pt shooter and shoot 36% from downtown.

I see what he's doing. These are value based rankings. He thinks Tracy McGrady isn't good enough for a first or second round pick, but I don't know. I had Raja Bell last year and he didn't really workout at all. He's only good for threes and he goes into slumps. Here's a secret from someone who's actually won a league. Two guards don't matter at all. They're all good and it's by far the deepest position. That's all I'll give you for free.

this guy is rating too much on last year, as opposed to players' overall body of work or potential. dwade is going to urinate on kobe this season. and b-roy should be top 10 at LEAST.
and to the guy who said 2s don't matter in fantasy basketball, first off congrats on winning a fantasy football league, maybe espn should give you a job. 2nd, how do they not matter when they contribute in all of the following categories: points, 3s, steals, shooting percentage, FT shooting percentage, assists. a good sg can make or break a team. that advice is a ripoff, even for free.

nope I'd have to disagree and if you go read what the "experts" say it's all about point guards and bigs. Centers and PGs are the thinnest position. Two guards are by far the deepest. You want PGs that can shoot threes. Pass on Kobe, take Nash and then grab Joe Johnson or whomever. Follow this strategy if you want to win. Most twos don't shoot high %, especially compared to guys that make their living dunking the ball. Twos just give you points, maybe threes. My point is that there are a ton of good twos, but only a few good centers and a few PGs that can win your league. what about rebounds, blocks? you need a team, but if you want to win, draft your two after you have a Pg/PF/C, unless Kobe falls to you in the second or something ridiculous like that.

Instead of passing on Kobe, then drafting Nash/Joe Johnson, I'd rather grab Kobe then swoop up Calderon another tier two point guard.

P.S. I won 3 of 4 Fantasy Basketball leagues last season. The First Yardbarker Fantasy league being the only one I lost. So, your advice is useless to me. But a sincere no thank you.

i agree that there are more important positions, but saying that "two guards don't matter at all" is untrue.
