Found November 03, 2012 on Shatter The Backboard:
NBA season has started.  My initial daily fantasy basketball reaction is that my games have gone about as good as the teething my young son is presently experiencing. I thought I could only imagine the pain he is feeling, but after the last two nights I think I am right there with him. I can’t seem to put together a consistent team. The stars are playing consistent, but due to salary leagues my sleepers are underperforming. I am one of those sports fanatics that expect Lebron James, Dwight Howard, and Chris Paul to put up 30 fantasy points a game.… Read more

Wolves Wednesday: Wing play must improve

MINNEAPOLIS The drama is three months behind them in Orlando, and maybe it's helped. The Dwight Howard-less Orlando team is 2-1, and early on, it's posed a bigger challenge than most would have imagined. Yes, Glen Davis is the focal point of their offense. Yes, they're hardly deep. But the Magic have been solid early, especially in terms of 3-point shooting; they'...

Golden State Warriors- Stephen Curry Extension Grade

The Deal-  4 years- 44 million When healthy, Stephen Curry is an elite offensive weapon. However, the healthy part has been an issue the last two years. Regardless, the Warriors got a steal at only 11 million a year for their best player. He is perfectly capable of posting over 20 points per game and dishing out 7 plus assists per game, while shooting at a very efficiency rate....

Bulls’ Joakim Noah regrets failed 3-point shot for Big Macs

Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah regrets his decision to shoot a 3-pointer against the Orlando Magic Tuesday night, as he tried to win Big Macs for fans at the United Center. Chicago-based McDonald’s is running a promotion with the Bulls. Fans can get a free Big Mac if the Bulls score 100 points during a win at home. The Bulls won 99-93. But Noah missed his 3-ponter with 3.8...

The Magic: A Team of Believers

Do you believe in the Orlando Magic? Well, a few months ago, almost everyone believed something about this team and it’s that they would be stinking awful. Following the blockbuster trade that sent Dwight Howard to the other side of the states, most of us felt like Orlando’s desperation to get rid of him resulted in a rash move that would end up costing them not only this season...

Warriors Could Play Bogut, Lee, Landry Together

The Warriors are considering playing Andrew Bogut, David Lee and Carl Landry at the same time.

Time to see the organizations and reporters locally that cover the GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS. Newspaper- The dominant daily in the region is the San Francisco Chronicle.   Its online sports page (and the rest of the paper online) is part of SF Gate.com.  The sports section has a page dedicated to the Warriors. Orlando Magic team website asks fans who should be the back-up point guard

Kings Head Coach Keith Smart Picks up Banner From Sleep Train Arena Scoreboard During Kings-Warriors Game (Photos)

On Monday night, the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors did battle, all-California style. With 5:30 left in the second quarter, a banner fell from the scoreboard at the newly named Sleep Train Arena (no, that's not a joke) in Sac-town that fluttered its way down towards midcourt. Kings head coach Keith Smart ran on to the hardwood to pick up the fallen...

Orlando Magic: Underdogs with bite

“Do You Believe in Magic…” If you recognize my pun as a song title, then your age is telling just as much as my decision to use it. As I was reading and writing up various preseason team previews I was generally excited for the (then) upcoming NBA season. When it came to teams such as the Orlando Magic, however, I needed to turn to an episode of The Big Bang Theory or an Adam...

NBA Camera Men Are A Danger To Us All

I try to keep my Orlando Magic homerisms to a minimum around these parts because people complain about it, but one of the greatest moments of my life as a sports fan came this summer when the Magic got the Philadelphia 76ers to take Jason Richardson. That’s not a knock on the 6ers, by any means. My beef was always with Otis Smith for giving J-Rich that stupid 4-year deal before...

Victory over Magic puts Timberwovles atop Northwest

MINNEAPOLIS -- Don't look now, but a week into the season, the Minnesota Timberwolves lead the Northwest Division -- even without injured stars Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio. Minnesota improved to 3-1 with a 90-75 victory over the Orlando Magic on Wednesday at Target Center. The Timberwolves are off to their best start since Kevin Garnett pushed them to a 6-0 record a decade...

Magic-Bulls Preview

Dwight Howard is gone and two of their starters have already been injured, but the Orlando Magic are off to a perfect start. They'll try to keep it that way when they hit the road for the first time. Orlando goes for its first 3-0 start in three years on Tuesday night when the Chicago Bulls try to avoid their first set of back-to-back home losses since that same season. The...

Suns sink in second half, fall to Magic

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- J.J. Redick scored 24 points, Arron Afflalo and Glen Davis each had 22 points, and Nikola Vucevic added 18 points and 13 rebounds as the Orlando Magic rallied to beat the Phoenix Suns 115-94 Sunday night. The Magic trailed by as many as 13 points early in the second half, but used a 40-point third quarter to build as much as a 21-point cushion in the fourth...
