If the NBA Western Conference coaches had listened to Dirk Nowitzki or Sir Charles Barkley, the NBA champions would not have been represented at the 2012 NBA All-Star game in Orlando later this month. Yes,  Dallas got off to a rocky start, along with some other teams as well and Dirk has not looked his best in some games and even took a four game leave of absence to do some extra conditioning, but to not have one representative from the team or even Dirk himself, the NBA Finals MVP on the reserve roster, would have been a travesty. I know that Dirk is not all about personal accolades, but this is an important thing for him to be a part of. Granted a lot of the other players, especially the ones voted in by the fans are all about flash and goal-busting dunks, Dirk is one of those guys that should be there just by his sure fired skill of the game.
