Today's list over on 205 welcomes the return of the NBA playoffs, that 40-day crucible of entertainment where the expected happens, and yet demands viewing anyway. That includes giving up your own stats to devote all of your energy to stop the other team's key offensive player, run through or set picks against the same guys you've been running into for the better part of a week, take charges and get on the ground for loose balls and all of the other things that don't show up in a box score. The way for the team with the lesser star to win is ...

Kevin Garnett May Miss The Entire Postseason
Dammit. Kevin Garnett will NOT play in the first round of the playoffs… and maybe more. Update via the Globe: An NBA source confirmed to the Globe this morning that Garnett was only about 70 percent healed from the knee injury, which occurred during a Feb. 19 game in Utah, and that the Celtics All-Star would likely miss the entire postseason.
Kevin Garnett Injury Update
A strained abdominal muscle is forcing Kevin Garnett to miss some playing time for the Boston Celtics. Garnett originally got hurt against the Minnesota Timberwolves. He left that game but returned to the court late in the game.
Since then, Garnett has missed games against the Orlando Magic and the M...
Sixers just look awful
Well even the return of Thaddeus Young, and the absence of Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, and the limited playing time of Paul Pierce could not stop the Sixers from losing, again.
Yea, Young looked good, scoring 18 pointsin nearly 29 minutes. But I don’t care. This team sucks, lately. I know, I’m being harsh, but this [...]

Bill Simmons on the KG news
Predictably, Simmons was crushed to learn that Kevin Garnett will be unable to play early on in the playoffs. His editor asked him for an immediate reaction.
The best thing about being a sports fan on the West Coast: Every game comes on three hours earlier. I watched a 12-inning Boston-Oakland game Tuesday night that ended [...]

No Big Ticket No Title; For Boston It Is Just That Simple

Celtics Fans Apparently Afraid of Physical Basketball (via Ball Hype)
Dirtlocker points for: Tony Allen, Kevin Garnett, Dahntay Jones, Mikki Moore, Rajon Rondo As section214 noted in his recap from the arena , the game was a bit chippy. There was more jawing than action, I'd say, though Tony Allen gave Dahntay Jones a huge forearm shiver and Mikki Moore absolutely des...
The Boston Celtics Welcome to Our House
Eddie House sank 5 three pointers in the 4th quarter to turn a deficit in last night's game into a C's lead and then a 115-107 Celts win. House also took the best three point shooting percentage in C's history away from Mr. Danny Ainge, amazing!! Last night's game was also amazing with Leon Powe receiving the 6th Man of the Year Award (very deserving in my opinion, as he averages...

Bus Rider's Pact
Remember last summer? To recap: Kobe freaked out, chiefly because the front office wouldn't part with Andrew Bynum for Baron Davis, Jason Kidd, Jermaine O'Neal, or Kevin Garnett. Then, when he got into camp, he smoothed things over with his teammatesâ€"to hear Brian Cook tell it, Bryant was a swe...
