This is a follow-up to "Will Allen Iverson win a championship in 2010?", where I stated that the summer of 2009 will be AI's time to start finding a team that can help him win it all.
Allen Iverson is a free agent in 2009. He has made enough money. He doesn't have a ring. And he ain't getting younger. If I were Iverson, I'd start thinking about latching onto a contender, possibly even at the mid-level exception. If I were Iverson, I'd realize my superstar days are over, and settle for a role as a super bench player, a la Bobby Jackson in his Sacramento Kings heyday. I'd be getting serious about winning a title.
Here are three possible championship destinations for The Answer.

Will Allen Iverson win a championship in 2010?
With free agency looming in 2009, Allen Iverson may want to hatch on with a contender and provide some serious scoring pop and hustle off the bench : It could be Iverson's chance to redeem his failure to win the big one in 2001.

Judging Francisco Garcia
Let me start with this - Francisco Garcia is not as good or as valuable to his team as Bobby Jackson was when he played here. To compare Cisco to B-Jax would be unfair to both of them, at least at this point in Garcia's career. But I was looking at Garcia's numbers the other day and I was startled at...
Brand Out, Day-To-Day
Elton Brand will miss Friday's game against the Allen Iverson Pistons in Detroit. The injury, a strained hamstring, apparently happened at some point in last night's loss against the Lakers, as Brand left halfway through the third quarter and was not on the bench with his team for most of the finish. There is no reason to suspect the injury is severe at this point, sobarring...
Game #17: Pistons push past Spurs in the 4th
The Pistons couldn't seem to get over the hump for the first three quarters against the Spurs, but in the 4th got rolling and beat the Spurs in San Antonio. {box score}Rasheed Wallace (19 pts) got hot from beyond the arc and Allen Iverson (19 pts, 6 asts, 4 stls) was able to break down [...]
Spoke too soon. Skip sits. CP3, too.
Less than five minutes into the game, Rafer Alston just picked up his second foul fighting for a rebound. He heads to the bench, but a minute later, Paul has run over Bobby Jackson, and he's out with two fouls,...
Rasheed Masters The Moment Pistons Spank Spurs 89-77
Could it be? Could it be that Detroit Pistons big man Rasheed Wallace is finally growing up? Rather than imploding after receiving a technical foul with 6:09 remaining in the thirdquarter of his team's game against the San Antonio Spurs as his been the case throughout his career, he channeled his aggression positively. Rasheed keyed up three times and hit treys in the fourth quarter...
