This NBA season is about 1/3 of the way in. So who are some breakthrough players so far this NBA season. We all know about the Bryant’s and Rose’s but find out some breakthrough players below. 1. LaMarcus Aldridge (Portland) – Aldridge has taken his game to the next level this season. Aldridge has earned a right to make the United States Olympic team this summer. This season Aldridge is averaging 23.7 points per game that is 6 point more than his career average. Aldridge is also bringing down 8.7 rebounds per game that is 1.2 more than his career average. Aldridge has also become a lot better passer this season as he is averaging 2.8 assists per game. 2. Ty Lawson (Denver) – Lawson is now running the show in Denver he is not sharing any minutes with other point guards. Lawson is probably the fastest point guard endline to endline in the NBA.
