PLAYERS: Maalik Wayns
The 76ers announced signed rookie free-agent guard Maalik Wayns on Tuesday. Wayns averaged 17.6 points, 4.6 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game during his junior season at Villanova. He also ranked seventh in the nation in free-throw shooting (89.2 percent). A member of the Magic in the 2012 Orlando Pro Summer League, Wayns appeared in three games, averaging 11.7 points, 5.7 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 2.33 steals. He is a native of Philadelphia.
