It's a small deal, but it's a deal you have to like. Fabricio Oberto is a 34 year-old Argentinean Back-Up Center. Amir Johnson is a 4 who makes big bold plays. His frame and game remind me of the delightful Mississippi State low-post presence that is Jarvis Vanardo. And the Bucks got that for nothing. Awesome. Simply awesome.

Yahoo (Adrian Wojnarowski) reports: In an effort to clear more salary cap space, the Detroit Pistons have sent forward Amir Johnson to the Milwaukee Bucks for newly acquired Fabricio Oberto, a league executive told Yahoo! Sports. The Pistons plan to buy out Oberto’s deal and make him a free agent.

There's a report out there that the Spurs' pursuit of Richard Jefferson has come to fruition with the trade of Fabricio Oberto, Bruce Bowen and Kurt Thomas.
Can't imagine that's all there is to this deal.
In fact, I've heard other rumblings regarding the Bucks. But more about that as the day unfolds. There are going to be lots of rumors now that the first domino...

The league has signed off on the trade for Richard Jefferson in exchange for Fabricio Oberto, Kurt Thomas and Bruce Bowen.
On paper, this looks like a huge win for the Spurs, who took advantage of Milwaukee wanting to dump a contract.
But don't assume the Spurs now are on a level with the Lakers, or even Denver. They are much worse defensively now. And unless they have a Rasheed...
