Another Look At Williams' Flagrant 2 On Rondo

It was very difficult to watch becuause that judgement was uncall for on Williams decision. He could have really hurt Rondo, but I'm glad Rondo was able to catch his breath, shoot the free throws, and continue playing. Rondo did take it like a CHAMP!!! I just didn't like how on t.v., they kept replaying the incident - It was hard to watch when it happened, then have to sit there and watch it several times at different angles (was ludacris), but CELTIC's won and that's all that matters!!! Celtic's are gonna be the 2008 CHAMPIONS!!!

I agree, that really was a terrible move by Williams.
It always freaks me out when they try to take people out mid-air like that.

I agree with the commentator..dirty play but not dirty player. It happens, bad execution with the right idea in mind. Glad Rondo bounced back. That had to hurt the lower back, not a good area to hit that hard on the parquet. I'm proud of our point guard. Rondo has heart.

Not that I'd want to see any Celtic get thrown down like that, but it made it about a billion times worse being that Rondo is my favorite Celtic. I'm glad he got kicked out of there.

So funny...afterwards, Van Gundy was like "If I were Rondo, Williams would be kicked off my BFF list immediately" Haha.

Rondo is one of the toughest players in the league and that wasn't the first big hit he has taken this year. He is one player the Celtics need in their line-up all the time as he makes everyone better...

Rondo will feel the effects today of the hard pounding he took. his lower back and tail bone seem to take the most impact.........i thought cassell was ghonna rush the floor and pop williams

I was impressed with the Boston bench, they showed a replay and they were all about to run out there on the court...but they looked at coach and calmed themselves down fast. Can't afford any suspensions.

I just wish Rondo wasnt the one who had to take those beatings. But i guess being starting pg makes it that way. It shows how strong he is, tho hes only 22... and a sophmore in the NBA... Rondo is such a great player, and seems humble at times.. just like his big brother Sugar Ray Allen!! Im so glad hes ok....

The NBA needs to get harsher on fouls like these, otherwise someone is going to get seriously hurt. While basketball is physical, it's starting to look a lot like football.

I think the ejection was sufficient.

And to think... Marvin Williams was awarded an award for like good citizenship or something. Last time I checked "attempting to rip a guy's head off" isn't a good quality. It just goes to show that the NBA has a bad reputation and is endorsing them doing good things, like those cheesy NBA Cares commercials. I'm surprised SNL hasn't ripped those yet.
