TEAMS: Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers
Only 4 times in franchise history has a Celtics team faced 2 game 7's in the same postseason. But yet, here we are in the just the second round already facing the second game 7 of the postseason. The Celtics were favorite to sweep the Hawks and yet that series inexplicably went to 7 games as the Celtics closed out the series with a 34 point rout.
Now, the Celtics are facing possible elimination again as they face the Cleveland Cavaliers in yet another game 7 at home. The Cavs are the reigning Eastern Conference champions and so the Celtics weren't expected to sweep them but they were expected to beat them. The Cavs aren't the same team that beat the Pistons last season. 3/5 of their starting lineup was acquired at the trade deadline so the Celtics have actually been together longer than they have.
The Celtics have never lost a series after being up 3-2. Hopefully that trend will hold true in this series as well. The odds seem to be in the Celtics favor. The home te...

You can't sell advertising unless you can provide an audience. Look around the NBA everything is sponsored by somebody, half time, play of the game, etc. I bet no one ever heard of Haier until the playoffs.

I did. My air conditioner is made by them. Gotta love those Chinese companies. ;-)

The Celtics window of opportunity won't last long. Someone has to step up to be the man. Lebron is killing them. LET'S DO IT!!!

Lets go Cavs! Lebron is going to have to take over. Lets hope the supporting cast will show and make some plays on offense. The defense is there most of the time.

Great job Celtics!!!!! The LeBron/Pierce duel took me back to watching Bird and Dominique....

LeBron Beats Garnett, 74-69
Instead of throwing our 5 guys at LeBron, leaving the rest of the Cavs open for easy buckets, we backed off. We didn't smother James until he got in the paint, and although he got a few easy buckets, the plan worked. The Cavs were held to 74 points on their home court, shot 32% as a team, and everybody in white not named LeBron shot 15-50. If I was any good at math I'...
Regressing Your Way to the Top
Warms my heart to see Federer looking like Federer again. He has struggled with his game in much the same way as LeBron this year. You know the greatness is there but for some reason it has gone dormant. As I do whenever something is on the tip of my brain but won't come out, I turn to Ellen, otherwise known as Game Buddy #1.

The King Has No Close - Paul Pierce Leaves James Exposed as Celtics Win 97-92 to Clear Out Cavs
In a game that did not deserve to be as close as it was, Paul Pierce overcame the Cavs hacking defense and a complicate officiating crew, to lead his Celtics to the Eastern Conference Finals in what obviously the highlight of his illustrious Celtics career.
Cavs Coach Trashes Celtics mystique
Cavs head coach Mike Brown trashed the notion of a Boston mystique during a teleconference Saturday afternoon before his team flew to Boston to face the Celtics in Game 7 Sunday afternoon at TD Banknorth Garden. He said "

There's a well kept secret in Cleveland; he's stalking downtown with a zoom lens and an appetite for the visual. You've seen his work on And One before. That amazing shot of LeBron's dust ritual; C-Town sunsets; flying bikers.
Great Team (Celtics) that bad or Good Player (LeBron James) that good???
Game 7 - Boston Celtics - In Boston - Who could ask for more? What better Headlines: Lebron James is suppose to be the next coming, the NBA savior of the next generation, the next....(you fill in the blank - Jordan, Magic). The Celtics 'the best team in the NBA today'. The team that only lost 16 games all season and ONLY 6 at home all season! WAIT.....STOP RIGHT THERE! Unlike...

The Toronto Raptors' excellent young point guard Jose Calderon, who is a restricted free agent, is making big waves as he has basically told the Raptors that if they don't promise him the starting PG spot, to not even bother trying to bring him back.

Hyping up Game 7: Cavaliers-Celtics
Sixteen years after the last time they met in Boston for Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals, the Cavaliers and Celtics meet again with a trip to the NBA's Final Four on the line. If only Marv Albert and the NBA on NBC were still around to hype up what has been the perfect throwback to how the NBA used to be played. One thing hasn't changed, though: it's Game...

Ode to Eddie House
Now that my heart rate's finally back to normal, I think it's time to write an ode to Eddie House.
Let's just talk about one play. That steal at the end of the game. Sean Grande was going for "House stole the ball!" along the lines of the immortal Havlicek play, but for me, the moment it brought back was different. I'm not old enough for the Havlicek...
LeBron James' View Outside Of Himself
And you know it, too. You know just from watching games that there's no way Chris Paul can do with Tyson Chandler what LeBron James can't do with Zydrunas Ilgauskas. That Joe Smith could be the versatile forward to LBJ as David West is to CP3. That Daniel Gibson, Delonte West and Wally Szczerbiak could play every bit the part of Jannero Pargo, Peja Stojakovic and Morris Peterson.
