So much for liking his roster, and standing pat this offseason. Now that Isiah Thomas has Zach Randolph safely in the fold and Steve Francis safely out of town, multiple sources are reporting today that Zeke isn't remotely done reshaping his roster..yet again. According to the Daily News' Frank Isola, Isiah had been conversing with Rashard Lewis (before he signed in Orlando) and is taking a look at free agent Morris Peterson as well. Isola also reports that Thomas could have an interest in acquiring troubled NY-native Ron Artest from Sacramento.

  • I understand the guy has issues, but he can play. He's the best defender in the league next to Bruce Bowen, and he will definitley work on his character. He's coming back home. Stephon Marbury comes back to NY, and his character changed. Artest's character will change also. With him, the knicks have someone that could defend the perimeter, well-rounded player, and would make us a potential nba finals team.
  • I second that. Minus the troubled past, Artest is a great player. if he can retain that mental composure that made him an ALL-STAR in Indiana, Sky is the limit. He has plenty of good ball left in him.
  • artest would be a great asset to the knicks but i cannot give you balkman he plays with so much fire his swagger and D reminds me of sprewell. David Lee is a horse and he is just gonna get better once his D gets better he would have alot of allstar games ahead of him. Nate is explosive he is another head scrather. i just named u 3 of the knicks second team, and still would not give u them for artest who i love and a proven allstar who has the best D in the league. WHY? Because hes gonna opt out his contract next year and he will be a knick. next yr 5 are Curry/ Randolph/ artest/ crawford/ marbury last yr i think
    bench LEE/ BALKMAN/ NATE/ MORRIS/ NICHOLS/ CHANDLER/ AND Q.
i believe in what isiah is doing the randolph deal got me confused though? we have a team that could do alot of great things we just need to be patient knick fans and isiah especially.

Artest makes sense for Knicks

The Sacramento Kings are reportedly trying to trade enigmatic forward Ron Artest, and the New York Knicks are said to be one of the teams interested. Why wouldn't they be?
