It is July 1st so that means the bidding war for James Posey has officially begun. It also seems clear that the price has been outlined. He's going to get the full Mid Level from someone, it is just a matter of how long the contract is. I think the Celtics would like to keep it to 3 years, but everyone knows that. New Jersey, which came close to signing Posey last summer before he was talked into going with the Celtics, also may revisit the situation, though like most teams the Nets are carving out cap space for 2010, when big names like LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade could hit the free agent market.
