The Boston Globe is reporting the Celtics' Leon Powe will be out for the remainder of the playoffs. Powe injured his knee in the second quarter of game 2. A MRI was performed on the knee but the extent of the damage is not none at this time. Injuries are starting to pile up for the defending champions making it even harder for the Celtics to repeat.

After seeing the Celtics lose Leon Powe last night and not having Kevin Garnett for the entire playoffs, people are writing off the defending champs. The other challenger to the Cavs, the Orlando Magic, blew a big lead and were stunned by Philly. The question is: Will it be a cakewalk to the NBA Finals? Larry Johnson Cartoon courtesy of WEEII have really been upset about Leon Powe's injury. This kid is one of the good guys. He works so hard and is just such a nice guy off the court and such a tough competitor on the court that this injury just doesn't seem fair. Just how tough is this kid? He played 3 minutes after he tore his ACL. Every other player I have ever seen...

The KG saga continues… but at least it’s continuing in a direction that gives me hope that he’ll return at some point. KG has put off knee surgery.
