The Bulls made a blockbuster trade today, and thankfully it did not involve Brian Cardinal. Brad Miller is coming home (so to speak): The Chicago Bulls and Sacramento Kings have reached tentative agreement on a trade sending Andres Nocioni, Drew Gooden and Cedric Simmons to the Kings for Brad Miller and John Salmons ... I would have traded Gooden and Noce for a ham sandwich.

My Lakers traded Chris Mihm not to long ago, The only teams that I see making some noise before the deadline is the:
    SPURS
BLAZERS (GREG ODEN GOT A CHIPPED KNEE!! HOPEFULLY IT'S NOT THAT SERIOUS)
    CAVS
    CELTICS

This trade is great for the Bulls. It doesn't make them contenders, but its an improvement and it clears cap space for 2010.
  • Great trade for the bulls getting a servicable big man in Miller & an athletic player in Salmons at the 3. Look for Hughes to get pushed into even less playing time & poor old Gooden another logo for his suitcase.
  • All these trades make you scratch your head because the players involved seem to rather equal in talent so the overall improvement to a team isn't apparrent. The Cavs could stay pat not making a trade maybe picking up a vetern released from a team following a trade. Like a vetern big man to take minuets behind Z, Big Ben & Andy the only real talked about weakness to their team that started with the trade of J.Smith for M.Williams. Look for a scoop up of J.Smith if he gets released following being trade a few days ago like the Mcdyess saga out of Detriot.

It's another salary dump, expiring contracts and cap relief and such.
