Celtics have agreed to terms with Scott Pollard. This is a signing I don't quite understand. More details here.

  • I'm sure this is all for chemistry purposes. Pollard did nothing last year but we all know him for being a crazy, funny guy. He does a lot of charity work and he's 7 foot. I think it makes a little bit of sense.
  • 7 Feet Tall, backup center role player that doesn't need the ball. Makes perfect sense and he is a decent passer as well. Also if they don't get Mutombo they will need him.
  • Why does Ainge continue to sign irrelevent ''didn't have not one single hey dey'' back ups for this franchise? Pollard brings what to the table?! The BeanTown nation enjoys winning! no matter what sport or thing it is! They deserve to win now! Especially in the NBA. He brings ''some'' energy to the table but no strong play of sorts. They could've done better than Pollard. As always, i speak from opinion.
  • scot pollard will help us out tremendously if he's healthy. could lord, why don't you guys wake up. teh celts don't have mucho loot to spend on free agents. picking up a 10 year vet (still only 32) that's 7foot, doesn't turn the ball over, can defend and for only $1.2Mil is a steal to me. we only need him for 20 mins a game (if that). i'm totally happy with the signing. it makes sense.
