Line of the Night: Carlos Delfino (5.32) did his best to look like one of the league's elite last night with 26 points on 8-11, including 5 three pointers and adding 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. He was also 5-5 from the line. Honorable Mentions: Jamal Crawford (5.05) helped the Knicks take out the Nets with 35 points, 6 three pointers, and 8 assists; Baron Davis (4.73) had a Cambyesque defensive game with 7 steals and 2 blocks; and since we're already into the 4's, I'm just going to stop there. Waiver Wire Line of the Night: The obvious choice is Carlos Delfino, but since he's had kind of a hot streak lately, that probably means it's already over. So, let's look at Jannero Pargo (3.74), who had 18 points and 3 threes on 7-9 to go along with 4 assists, 2 steals, and a block. He only played 18 minutes, though, so unless he's shooting 77% every night? Let's go with Kareem Rush (3.66). His FG% has been pretty atrocious, but over the last month he is dropping a couple threes a game along with 11.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.9 steals, 0.6 blocks, and 1.1 turnovers. The Biggest Loser: Morris Peterson once again makes a case with 1-9 from the field, and Jermaine O'Neal really wants it after leaving the game with a sore knee after playing 9 minutes just one game after getting 27, 9 and 6 blocks? Jameer Nelson was also on the comeback trail before leaving yesterday's game after 16 minutes with a strained foot tendon. Paul Pierce's NBA.com photo seems to be crying out for it after going 3-11 last night, but I can't bring myself to give TBL to someone who had 8 rebounds and 5 assists no matter what else happened. Well, maybe if he had like 10 turnovers. I guess Nick Collison was being rested in a blowout against the Hornets, and since he's gimpy it's also tough to give it to him. And he did have 24 and 18 just two days prior. But his 1-6 shooting in the 22 minutes he did play had to have at least contributed to the 19 point deficit the Sonics faced at halftime.
