Diesel in the Desert

It's a done deal. Shaq is a Sun, and Marion & Marcus are going to Miami. It's shocking and hard to understand but I'm going to try to keep an open mind about this trade, and hope for the best. Maybe Shaq is the missing piece to the championship puzzle. Maybe it was the biggest mistake in Suns history. Either way, one thing we know for sure is it's a huge gamble and the Suns and their fans alike can only hope that it works.

The Matrix will be missed, and you can be sure that most, if not all Suns fans will keep their eyes on Miami and how he is doing.

My question to fellow yardbarkers,

Do the Suns finally have what it takes?

Well, Ill be honest, I just read your other article you posted right before this one... and you've convinced me, the Shaq trade is (now was) a horrible deal =/

Thats not to say crazier things havent happened! Hows it looking 2 weeks out from the trade now?

Well I wont lie, I wasn't a fan of the trade at first...but after things have settled down a bit and I let it really sink it, I think it might work out. He didn't play a great game in the first half of tonights game, but thats to be expected. Shaq played a good second half considering he hasn't played a game in over a month (?), it's a new team, and he isn't in the best shape of his life. Unfortunantly it wasn't enough and this Laker loss stings...but I think The Big Cactus (apparently thats his new nick? haha) or "shaqtus" like the fans like to call him, will do fine Phoenix.

ahh yeah. I think he actually played 3.5 games with a bad hip in 7 weeks before last nights game. He'd gained weight and was not in great b-ball shape- but I loved it.

He does bring all of those things that Phoenix has always lacked. Was it a good trade??? Can't say, because even with the Shaqssets (get it) we lost so much in Trix. Statistically he's something like a top 7 all-time player.

Hahah...Shaqssets and trix-less...we'll be fine.

I'm always pulling for the warriors to win that championship, but if they somehow don't make it, I'm pulling for the Suns. Steve really deserves a ring and this is the year for him. Even though the Sun's lost a huge piece in their core with Marion, I still believe Shaq is going to bring that experience and make basketball fun for the Suns (that rhymes haha)

Good to hear. You're Warriors have just a good of chance as anyone in the league. They're a tough team to beat and sooo fun to watch.
