Elton Brand with a dislocated shoulder

If you caught Sports Center Wednesday or Thursday, you probably saw Elton Brand's nasty spill.  He's out for about a month with a shoulder injury.

Brand's MRI revealed a fracture of the humeral bone and a tear of the labrum. Sixers team physician Dr. Jack McPhilemy did not believe the injury would require surgery at this time, the team said in a statement. Brand will begin rehabilitation immediately. - ESPN.comI say "at least a month" ...

The news concerning Elton Brand's shoulder is not good, but considerably better than it could have been. The MRI revealed a fracture and tear, however nothing that appears to need surgery at this point. All things considered, one month really doesn't seem that bad.We'll see how the Sixers respond. They already notched a comeback without their power forward last night...
