    I understand the potential problems meshing Bynum and Gasol on the floor at the same time, but considering how well they both played without each other, and how much easier their respective jobs will be playing side by side, you can't be anything but hopeful. Bynum can focus on defense and rebounding while he gets back into the offense, and Pau can exert more energy on the offensive end now that he isn't being backed down by guys 50 pounds heavier than him.

    Nothing but optimism. Kobe's hand is the only real concern on this team.
