The Sixers have finally taken care of one of their restricted free agents, Lou Williams, by signing him to a 5 year contract. Williams had been rumored to be talking to a few other teams, including the Golden State Warriors, but the Sixers were able to get a contract worked out. The terms for the deal have not yet been announced, but it is rumored to be worth 25 million. Williams will join recently signed Royal Ivey and Kareem Rush along with Andre Miller and Willie Green in a crowded Sixers backcourt. Next item of business for the Sixers: sign Andre Iguodala.

Did Grizzlies know something we didn't?

Last season the Grizzlies were absolutely ripped by most media members and fans for trading Pau Gasol to the Lakers for Jarvis Crittenton, Kwame Brown, Aaron Mckie, and Marc Gasol. Many believed that the Grizzles basically bent over for Laker GM Mitch Kupchak by giving away their best player for the raw Crittenton and uninspiring Brown. It is becoming clearer now that this trade...

Matt Barnes is hot-headed and dirty

Last week I posted a story about Matt Barnes losing his cool at a San Francisco Pro-Am game. He threw a ball at a referee in disgust, ostensibly because it took the referee too long to a call a foul when Barnes was getting mugged during garbage time with his team up by a decent margin. I gave Barnes the benefit of the doubt, because I was at the game. He was getting mugged. There...
