Fire Sale on Raptors Point Guards

The Toronto Raptors' excellent young point guard Jose Calderon, who is a restricted free agent, is making big waves as he has basically told the Raptors that if they don't promise him the starting PG spot, to not even bother trying to bring him back.

if B.C doesn't sign this guy and trade T.J he will be tied and gaged and dropped off at the peace bridge

I wouldn't call trading one player a fire sale... TJ Ford's bad luck with his health with force the Raptors to keep Calderon... As a Raptors fan I really hope they would never trade for the over rated, and over paid Anderson Verajeo... Kris Humphries is just as good.

If he becomes available the blazers will gobble him up. It's no secret that they wanted him at the trade deadline and they have the most trade assests of maybe any team in the league. If u want cap space(which toronto doesn't but this is just an example) we could trade u raef Lafrenz's $11 million contract, or maybe you prefer young wing players(we got plenty of those) or maybe toronto would want a back-up point guard(we have three pick one). Simply put if calderon or any other good pg becomes available you have to think portland is the front runner for him.

A package deal for Webster or Outlaw and Jack would be great. The Raps need an athletic wing man.

Outlaw seems to be pretty much untouchable but webster and jack or webster and rodriguez would be cool with me.

It is unlikely that Calderon will be the one to move, TJ see ya! Plus there are teams that exist that will want Ford.

The Raps would be nuts to let Calderon go. On a per minute basis, he's more effective than Monta Ellis, Jason Kidd, Baron Davis and Allen Iverson. Those 8.3 assists per game are even more impressive when you consider that he only played 30.5 minutes per game. Plus he shoots over 52% from the field, over 43% from long range and over 90% from the free throw line. (Is he the next Steve Nash?) Toronto needs to give this guy the starting gig and trade Ford (to the Knicks?)

There is no way the Raptors would get Outlaws and Webster for Calderon. Just not going to happen. I hope he comes to Portland but the only person I would trade for him is Jarrett Jack.

not outlaw and webster but webster or outlaw(but really just webster because i don't see the blazers trading outlaw)
I also agree that calderon isn't going anywhere because the raps have already said they will match any offer and that probably means they wouldn't look to trade him either.

TJ goes no where because he is untradable right now, plus he can create his own shot. Calderon will be the one moved because BC will have n other option. Look for Miami to offer up Dacquan Cook and a pick, or Denver to throw up Edjuardo Najera and a pick, something along those lines. Also Bargnani could be headed to NJ for Sean Williams or Josh Boone and a pick, which would give the raps a chance to trade the 15th and 10th pick this year for a better draft spot.
