  Well what do you expect? No NBA player will admit that anyone is better than them.
  The "best player in the world" shouldn't need 2 hall of famers to be a good team.

  Paul Pierce is better then Lebron but not Kobe and Jordan., Also Paul Pierce is my favorite player in the game. Kobe Second, but my dude did give him and Kobe the Business. Unlike Boston, the Laker dont play good defense. So of course Kobe Struggled. If Paul Pierce gets the ball more(instead of running plays down the strench for KG) he would average just as much points as Kobe or Lebron. But when you have a team who dont need you to score much, you are able to be more effiencent.
  
  Paul Pierce has the right to feel he is the best in the game. But honestly he isnt better then Kobe. Kobe is the best player in the planet. Paul Pierce might be second(my opinion pierce is my favorite player) but he proved he could get his team a ring. Just get him a team.

  haha paul pierce is NOT better than lebron, lebron toke the cavs to game 7 against a team with 3 hall possible future hall of famers and lebron had nobody compared to them. if lebron switched places in the series, the celtics would have finished the cavs in 4 games. no doubt about it.

  If Paul Pierce is so wonderful, why hasn't he been on any of the USA international squads? Apparently USA basketball thinks that Lebron, Kobe, Carmelo Anthony, Deron Williams and Dwight Howard make a better team.

  Where are these ridiculous comments coming from? Paul Pierce isn't even the best player on his own team. Do you Paul Pierce lovers even realize how much it helps having KG and Ray on his team? C'mon...there isn't one GM or one coach in the NBA that would take Paul Pierce over Lebron James or Kobe Bryant in a 7 game series. Kevin Garnett is the reason why the Celtics have their ring.

  I think Paul Pierce is overly confident & over reacting. He couldn't make it to the championship battle without Kevin Garnett who played an outstanding performance both in offense & defense. This is the only problem with Odom & Gasul, they don't have defense unlike O'neal who played for Lakers before and made the team champion with Kobe & O'neal around. Coach Phil Jackson should start to focus on improving defense by selecting a defensive player with added offensive skills as to revert back the old days of having Kobe & O'neal alike team up.

  Anybody who thinks Paul Pierce is better than Kobe, Lebron, or anybody else in the top 10 of the NBA is smoking crack and needs to go play in traffic immediately. Paul Pierce wasn't even the best player on his team.
  If Keven Garnett had an ounce of aggression he could have averaged 40 against the Lakers soft defense.
  Must have been nice for Paul Pierce to have the best zone defense in the league swarming Kobe and daring the other Lakers to beat them. It's the same thing Detroit did in the 2004 NBA Finals. Swarm Kobe and dare the other Lakers to beat them.

  KOBE is the best simple as that paul pierce is over reacting; he should shut up and enjoy his 1 and only championship who's brought by the additons of ray allen and KG(kevin garnett) and pretty good role and bench player. Also every team that plays the lakers goal is to swarm KOBE and make the other lakers beat ya! And i thought paul pierce was a friend of KOBE way to smash him in public!

  Paul Pierce is by far the great player in the world. its even close. That cop just pulled him over to be in the presence of Greatness.Few people know that Pierce is also the greatest swimmer in the world too!
