Do you ever have those moments where you hate your friends for a split second, and then get over it like a minute later? I had one of those moments recently:

So last week the news broke that all Sonics' merchandise would go on sale to 90% off at their Key Arena team store. I was already under the impression that they sold out of everything. But apparently they had lots of jerseys left to sell. My friends broke the news to me at lunch and told me that they'd be able to buy me a jersey, while they went to the team store during lunch.
I ask them how much a jersey is, they say "10 dollars", I look in my wallet and only have a 20, so I give it to them and tell them to bring back 10 and only get me a Kevin Durant jersey. I told them if the store doesn't have any Durants left, to bring back my 20.
We agreed to meet after school so then they could give me my $10 dollar jersey. And then, my excitement dies, like a fly hitting a fly-swatter (crappy metaphor). I end up with this junk:

At least I got 10 of my 20 dollars back...*sigh*

What the hell should I do with this Earl Watson jersey?

Kevin Durant Goes Pro

Kevin Durant decide to enter his name in the NBA Draft. This is not good news for Texas, because Durant almost decided to stay another year but then didn't. Nike is also offering 20 million dollars in endorsements. I'm sure Oden is next to put his name in. The only question left is about who will go ...

Kevin Durant = Adam Morrison?

Basketbawful points out that the media is unfairly favoring Kevin Durant this year, mostly based on hype. Last year at this time, Adam Morrison was being heavily criticized for similar efforts as Durant: I know it seems like I’m giving this kid a hard time, but honestly, he’s not playing ...

Texas Retires Tech, Durant's 35

Gordon Not To Participate In Horse

Last week ESPN misreported that Ben Gordon would be a participant in the NBA’s H-O-R-S-E Challenge at Allstar Weekend. The Chicago media reported that Gordon was in consideration for the H-O-R-S-E contest. In the end, Gordon will not be one of the participants in the H-O-R-S-E competion. The NBA has chosen Kevin Durant, O.J. [...]

Stuckey’s respectable Sophomore showing

Min FG FT +/- Rbs Ast TO Stl Pts 10 5/6 2/2 +10 3 9 3 3 12 Our guy Stuck did us proud last night helping the Sophomore team comeback and beat the Rookies 122-116.  It was the Kevin Durant show, but Stuckey held his own out there and got pretty good love from the announcing crew.

If you could do it again…

Kevin Durant or Greg Oden? My friend told me he still stands by Greg Oden as #1 in the 2007 draft. I whole heartedly disagree. In only his 2nd year, Kevin Durant is a top 5 scoring threat with 3 point range. At 48.2%, his shooting percentage is insanely good for someone who is only [...]

The Chicago Bulls Get the First Pick of the 2008 NBA Draft

Predicted to be the #9 pick of the 2008 NBA Draft, the Chicago Bulls jumped during the lottery to the top spot. The Chicago Bulls, who had a 1.7% chance of getting that top spot, pushed the Miami Heat (who had a 25% chance) to the second spot and T-Wolves to number 3. The 2008 NBA Draft will be like last year's draft where there are two prizes rather than just...

Portland Trailblazers the future is now

NBA Obsessed takes you into the hit and run game of NBA Basketball. Brandon Roy and Kevin Durant Conventional wisdom, be as it may, does not always ring true. Greg Oden is out with micro fracture surgery. Portland being a very young team and minus its big 7 footer should not be enjoying any success. ...

One night in May

Yes, this has, and will, be written about by just about every news outlet and blogger with a pulse - the (at the time) ill-fated fortunes of the Boston Celtics at the draft lottery in May of 2007. Back then, everyone in Celtic Nation had this feeling that this was the year. That the Celtics had gotten screwed over one too many times, and that the basketball gods would finally show...

Old SchoolNew School Clash The Future of the Thunder

On Tuesday, the Los Angeles Lakers played the Oklahoma City Thunder. Despite what the final score suggests, the game was actually pretty close down the stretch. One of the best players in the NBA today, Kobe Bryant went toe-to-toe with Kevin Durant, one of the nation's rising young stars. ...

Grinds My Gears

Leaving Early- Why do all of these college players leave early? I understand people like Kevin Durant, who are absolute studs in college, but I don't understand people like Spencer Hawes, or Greg Oden, who could have polished off their skills and gained experience in college. I understand that they want cash, but if you stay, there is a good chance that in the long run, you will...
