Gerald Green Released by the Rockets

The Houston Rockets have released Gerald Green to make room for a front court player because of injuries to Carl Landry and Yao Ming. I really feel bad for Gerald. He was so excited to be going to Houston from Minnesota. He said it was a dream come true and now he is a player without a team. Maybe another team who need scoring will pick him up for the rest of the season, but he probably will need to prove himself to a team in the off season to get any kind of deal. He may even need to go to the D-League in order to get enough experience to make another NBA roster. I like Gerald. He has a ton of potential but hasn't yet figured out how to transfer that potential into solid play. He had the Slam Dunk contest going for him last season, but now doesn't even have that. I really hope he can pick up his career somewhere and finally find his place in the league. Wherever he goes, I wish him luck. Here is a look at Gerald in better days for him.

I just saw that in the transactions today on nba.com. I was shocked. It shouldn't take long for a non-playoff team to pick him up. I think? What's with this guy? He seems to have all the talent in the world.

yea bummer.. wish all the luck to this guy. 3 teams in 1 1/2 years. maybe he should just look to go to the globetrotters.

To me he looks to have an attitude problem... But he is a good player..

BOSTON NEEDS 2 PICK UP AND LET HIM COME AND ENJOY THE RIDE THIS IS WHERE HE STARTED GREAT UPSIDE LET HIM CONTINUE 2 DEVELOPE

PHILLY COULD USE HIM, WHAT IS HE A PF, YEA COMPLIMENT IGUODALA ITD BE PERFECT

I wanted the celtics to pick him back up at the end of the year, hes got a great relationship with everyone here, i want to see Green back in green.

the celtics have used most of their mid-level exception havent they, and are probably pretty close to (if not in) the luxury tax.

it would be great to see him sign for a minimum contract just to finish out the season with boston though.

Celtics have used all their mid level and are way over the lux tax thrshold. They also have the max 15 players on the roster. I wouldn't mind seeing them cut Pollard to bring him in since Pollard is done for the season anyway. With all the veteran leadership I think they could bring him along and would have a gem in the end if they did.

And One here comes Green

He should be a Sixer, we would love to have him. He could start in front of Whoever it is. We need a SG, like AI. Man those were the days

I think he's more like a swingman 2/3, but he would be a nice addition. Any rumors about anybody being interested?

time to become an olympic high jumper.

Jumping isn't everything. Can he play?

He was kicked off for an off the court situation that was detrimental to the team. They get a shot and f*&% it up, just because u get drafted doesnt mean you made it. You make it when you get the 100 million, DUMB ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE ROCKETS ARE STUPID FOR LETING HIM GO

rockets shoul sign him again and let mike harris go and play him please
