Got a nice win last night

We picked up a nice win last night over the Bobcats at the Forum. It was a much needed win. I've had quite a few people send me emails or comments asking the difference between the NBA and college or what NBA practices are like.

Well I normally get to the gym at 8:45 and do some shooting before practice. I also stay after to do some more work so I don't really get home until about 2:15-2:30.

The differences between the NBA and college is pretty big IMO, outside of the obvious size, speed stuff.. One of the big things is that the college game is more physical on the perimeter than the NBA. In college you can handcheck, bump, hold, etc. on the perimeter. Those are called everytime in the NBA, I've picked up my share of fouls trying to break the habit. Another big difference is the defensive 3 second rule, personally I love this because it opens up the lane for drives :). In college guys can just stand in the paint and try to pick up charges right under the rim. Also when you run pick and rolls the roll man is rarely open because guys are all packed in the lane, NBA game is more open.

I'm glad you all won,I especially liked watching you.are you single?

Congratulations on the win, Michael.

I know this season must be frustrating, but keep your head up. The team has a bright future with you, Rudy, Hak, J.C. & Lowry, plus the grizzled vet (ha) Mike Miller.

And don't forget those draft picks... Michael Beasley?!!

thanks for telling about the difference!

nice win enjoy watching the playoffs from your couch GO SIXERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great win, Mike. Sorry about your season so far, not exactly what I saw it being- with Gasol being there at first.

It's ok though, you guys will get some much needed help in the draft! Good luck to ya Mike, and thanks for the year at Ohio State! GO BUCKEYES!

What do you think about Stern wanting to up the age to 20?

mike i bet you prolly hear this a lot, but im your biggest fan... i go to ohio state and i dont know if you ever saw the facegroup "achoo i think osu is catching a flu cuz mike conley is sick!" i made that facebook group... just thought you should know and im glad to see your gettin some burn @ memphis these days... best of luck w. the future

it does seem like the nba is geared more towards guard play... do you think that's one of the reasons why it's harder to adjust to international play and the olympics? because players are used to going one-on-one versus playing more team ball?
