Happy Easter

Happy Easter to everybody. sorry i haven't posted in a while but there is nothing special really going on with me. The team is on a two game road trip and its our last long road trip of more than one game. We went to Los Angeles and beat the Clippers and tomorrow we play Seattle, hopefully we can get another win. We kind of had an off day in Seattle so we went to our owners Paul Allen's house and got some shots up. Yes he has a full basketball court and tennis court in his house, with an indoor 20 ft deep pool and a locker room thats bigger than ours at the arena (this is in his house). You know the difference between millionaires and billionaires after being at his house. I had fun with my teammates and people in the organization on this Easter but i do miss my family and i know they are doing good i love them and cant wait to see them, the road gets lonely when you cant play.

"You know the difference between millionaires and billionaires after being at his house" haha I love it.

I was up in Seattle just last week, it was actually the first time I've been able to travel around the city. It was so nice, I love it up there. Good luck to the team, hopefully we get the win tomorrow night and happy easter to you too Greg!

happy easter! you should have gotten in that pool and showed the team all your sweet rehab moves..lol..race anyone??

Damn, I have heard about P's house, didnt know it is that crazy. I know he has a monster yacht, sounds like his house bananas as well. Good looking out man by updating us. Keep it up man.

that would be amazing to be in a house like that
happy easter!

What up G.O. ? Sounds like you're having a good time. Great photo of you in the paper today running The Hill. I hope you were a good guest at Paul Allen's house and didn't dunk on him or anything. Keep up the good work!

Yeah and in that picture there's some random guy running along following them on the other side of the street... that cracked me up.

Greg : It's good to hear from you . Hope you had a Happy Easter. Glad to see you are getting stronger and able to run . Take care.

Dam I wanna go to paul allens house! Greg have you ever seen the movie hoop dreams? just wondering about your thoughts on that movie.

Great hearing from you G.O. I'm glad you had a good time. Happy Easter and I know your family must miss you too. Again, Happy Easter Big Man.....

Hi Greg! It sounds like you had a pretty nice Easter! "Grizzly Adams" and I made a trip to Hawaii last month. We saw Mr. Allen's super yacht from the airplane. I hope he invites you on that sometime. It has two helicopter landing pads on it and a submarine docked inside! I know your Mom and brother missed having you home for Easter. We did Easter by ourselves for the first time ever this year. It was way too quite! God bless you, Greg. Keep up the rehab and the world is your oyster! Hugs! Mrs. E

Wondering when you become a billionaire what amenities you'll be furnishing your hosue with?

Happy Easter big guy! How'd you do on Paul's tennis court???

hey Greg, happy Easter to you and to everybody at Yardbarkers

Paul is my hero a computer guru and Blazer fan. It always amazes me that pro athletes dont get enough credit for playing or traveling in sports on very special holidays.

Tell the team to keep pushing for the playoffs. You never know what can happen. Momentum going into next year is what we need.

I bet hunting for eggs around that place would have been quite the adventure. Glad to hear you were able to have a good Easter, even if you couldn't be with your family. Looking forward to seeing a win tonight and again tomorrow at home!!

Happy Easter Bill Russell

I thought that was you going up Benchview the other day. Rocky Balboa's got nothing on you.

For the love of Portland, don't move to the South Waterfront yet. Give it a couple of years. Right now, you end up driving out of the neighborhood to do anything (i.e. movie theaters, grocery stores, video rental places, gym, late night food, dog day care, etc.).

If you choose the Pearl, avoid buildings with wood construction and low ceilings (Kearney Plaza, 10th & Hoyt, Lexis). The Louisa and the Burlington are pretty good buildings. The Louisa has a clubhouse and the Burlington has a fitness center on-site (although it's pretty useless since the 24-hour fitness in the Pearl is actually open 24 hours). There's also the Wyatt which just opened up. If you're looking for a place in a condo building, the Metropolitan has guest suites you can rent out when family visits which is convenient since there are no hotels in the Pearl. I'd stay near Jamison with your dog since unlike SoWa, there's not much room for dogs to roam in the neighborhood. If you need to find places for your handlers to live, the Pearl also has some apartment buildings for people making under the median income (i.e. Pearl Court, Lovejoy Station, Sitka).

thnaks for the insight into your life.......i bet it does get lonely out there on the road........keep your head up son

Happy Easter! I sure hope this is not the last time the Blazers ever play in Seattle...

It must be a huge locker room to be bigger than an NBA locker room. Hope that you're doing good in Seattle.

wow... i thought allen is so cool, isn't it?

Blessed belated Easter to you and family. ut I got a question for you. I recently read here in the Yard about Tiger Woods recently purchasing a home about 79 million dollars. Some of the comments said that he should take some of his wealth to help others but I noticed that none of the comments about Paul Allen being a billionaire had similiar comments. I just thought that I would mention this peculiar difference in how people make distinctions between certain people.

Happy Easter! Every day I get more and more excited to see the blazers next season.

Greg, I'm just going to throw this out there and if you don't like it you can send it right on back.
I'm kind of a big deal around here.... people know me. I have many leather bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogony.

this ones for mclovin fans

GO, Nice dance moves at the game last night. Way to hide behind LA..... They are going to use that dance move for years to come.....Call it the "GO dip"

I was in Chicago Easter week end and just got back tonight, and it's even worse not having any Blazer games to watch just bored at night in a hotel room. Chicago sucks.

You should definitely move to the South Waterfront! its a great place and is growing rapidly. Yes you may have to drive or take the Streetcar to the Pearl or downtown but you will get a nice skyline and river view, which you cannot get in the Pearl. There will be two more restaurants opening up this summer. It is better for your dog because you can take him along the river or through trails away from traffic. Oh and you will have Channing Frye since he lives there so if he loses another bet he can walk your dogs again.

Lol at you playing some pick up games. I know the feeling of just wanting to play so badly. Just try and wait until the summer before playing in anymore games, or whenever the trainers and doctors clear you to play.

bad bad bad GO......Playin hoops without the sarge's permission! come on man...
haha

lol...maybe moving to the pearl isn't such a good idea...it would be hard to resist stuffing it on the turkeys that play at that 24hr.

move to the east side, you'd at least be close to good bbq (podnah, russell st, cannon's, clay's). it's gotta beat the hot dogs your buddy is making for you.

Hey Draft Oden. Way to gloss over real issues with immature hyperbole. The Blazer's have a lot invested in Greg. He may be feeling great but as the facts show with microfracture it is best to take it slow and controlled. The Blazers just want what everybody wants and that is for Greg to make a FULL recovery that lasts. Not like Amare coming back early to play a few games and then hurting his other knee and taking a full year and a half to get back to normal. Come to think of it he had to have that other knee scoped again this past summer. Just taking the PROPER precautions. Weigh the Risk versus reward and it becomes pretty simple.
Everyone is absolutely thrilled and impressed with Greg's work ethic and determination in making a full recovery. It's had to have been an incredibly tough year. Thank you Greg! Training camp with be here before you know it and you are going to have the time of your life next year. I think you are going to surprise a lot of people!

Greg what hell were you thinking playing at 24 hour fitness? What are you going to do next behind coach nates back, what game film? run sprints? practice free throws? maybe the blazers should build a cage for you in the rose garden and only let you out of it when its time for a game. This whole thing being all over espn and everything is a freakin joke!

Hey Greg... I GOT THE BEST NICKNAME FOR YA
Even though you havent started playing in the NBA yet you should seriously consider this one =)
Da O-Zone
Anyway just a thought ... cant wait for your rookie season ... god bless with your healing process.
BlazerRob

aww poor Greg! Don't worry you'll be back playing soon. I also have knee problems (dislocated knee cap) and missed summer ball, but it was for sure worth the wait because now I feel 100%. Can't wait to see you on the floor! Keep up the good work :)

Dude I know you might be feeling down about all the negative publicity after your pick up game but don't worry, you know your own body and although you shouldn't have done it people are making to much of it.

Your nickname is "The Blocksmith"... how do you like it?

Don't worry about the 24 hour fitness problem right now. You're getting on the court soon. Robert Swift from Seattle came down to play at my church event July 07 where we got to play at Arco Arena. He tore his ACL in the pre-season and was out for the 06-07 season. He was looking great playing ball, and I'm sure you do too. Can you get on the court on the last game of the year?

Hi Greg! I'm a huge fan and can't wait for you to get back in action. Just remember, it's a marathon not a sprint and that hard work gets you everywhere in the NBA. Of course, you know that much better than I do. You've got a great coach in Portland. Take advantage of Nate.

And stay away from those pick up games :). Best of luck

Greg, I see you stylin' on tv and was wondering where do you get all your gear and clothes from? I am also a former college basketball player and now working everyday, do you have any suggestions to go online and find some stylish clothes for big guys. (i'm also a footer) Having a hard time myself, let me know if you have any suggestions...I am in need of desperate help!

Your nickname is "The Blocksmith"... how do you like it?

Greg!...I had no idea you had a blog...nice. I figured I'd say hey since you got rid of facebook and good luck on the recovery. Get hype for next season
