Hassell Traded

Just a few days ago, it was made clear that Trenton Hassell was not happy in Minnesota. Over the next few days, a few different teams surfaced including the Miami Heat and the Dallas Mavericks.

On Friday night, the Wolves made their first major move since the KG deal, and moved Hassell to the Mavericks for a similar player, Greg Buckner.

Buckner's contract is a little bit smaller than Hassell's for this season, but will spike up over the next few years. The main reason this deal was done, was because it allows the Wolves to sign Chris Richard.

Buckner is a similar player to Hassel, and is three years older. His contract will go until the 2011 season, but it's hard to believe that he'll last that long.

Nonetheless, I like this deal, because Hassel wasn't happy, and Richard will now be in camp.
