As we approach the stretch run of the 2007-2008 basketball season, we find a Big 12 freshmen solidifying his position as the frontrunner for National Player of the Year. In fact, the entire freshman class is playing at a level unlike anything NCAA hoops has ever seen, in terms of both superstar talent, and depth. Wait a minute, haven't we heard this before?
Indeed, the way that the Michael Beasley-led class of 2007 and the Kevin Durant-led class of 2006 have established themselves as two of the best overall recruiting classes of all-time is eerily similar.
