I think I’ve officially seen the third coming of Michael Jordan. The second coming, in his trademark yellow and purple, is probably somewhere on his way to Denver shaking his head in amazement. Even he is a witness of the greatness that is the man, marvel, magician of basketball that is LeBron James. Let me set the scene of game two again. Hedo Turkoglu had just finished off Cleveland, the team that challenged NBA records on its homecourt this season and finished the NBA season with the leagu...

LOL! Still after all these years people talk about the second coming of Michael. Now a third?! People have been auditioning for a role that NEVER EXISITED! LOL! There is no Deja Vu, There are NO CLONES, Nor glitch in the friggin Matrix. There is no the next Michael Jordan. They are the first Lebron James. (I wish Petrius was the one guarding him instead of Turkoglu. Man i hated that he hit that shot!!!) and The first Kobe Bryant. A lot of younger guys may mold a likeness or add it to there game, But they can never be like their Predecessor or a-alike. Yes i know i'm going WAY OFF THE SUBJECT, But i just thought i added this for food for thought. Thanks guys.
    • dantheman4250
Mainly that meant that the shot was Jordan-esque.
    • yeh, i also dislike that "he's the next (____)" stuff. whenever i used to take my kid golfing every single person passing would say, "oooh, the next tiger". my stock response was always "no, he's the first eric"

There was ONE Jordan. Sorry but he is not not the third coming. One can't even but LeBron even in the same conversation, as good as he is and as good as he will become. Yes he is one of the great players of the league. Period!
If there is a second coming....it's Kobe.
And please remember LeBron has not won.
      • That simply doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Here's what U need 2 do--b a WITNESS!!
        • marines91
Yeah I'm sure that would help. I have a really nice TV.
      • SILENT! LISTEN! (C HOW BOTH WORDS HAVE THE SAME LETTERS AND THEIR DEFINITIONS R FREAKY 2 1ANOTHER? ANYWAY, N A SHORT MINUTE THE TALK'S GONNA B ALL ABOUT THE MAN WHO MADE U A WITNESS--LEBRON JAMES

Oh please God let LeBron win a Title. I am so sick of hearing about Jordan and Kobe!
    • Hell, if Bron wins, you'll be hearing 'bout Bron, Kobe, and Jordan. Will that mean you'll require a third ear?
      • razah12
        Placard_complete_small
True. But maybe Bron will get a bit more credit due to his surrounding cast. But it is a team sport and Cleveland does have a strong team. But when you think Kobe you think Shaq and when you think Jordan you think Pippen and Rodman.

agree with the Kobe and Pippen part, but JORDAN was a damn BEAST. MJ in his prime would have gotten 6 championships rings regardless who you teamed him with... period. You must have forgotten that Rodman was with the Pistons, and the Lakers and he has the rings to prove it.

Your right tikitmb, I don't know why I am tired of Jordan? Even Kobe and Lebron say he is the best. Maybe it is because Jordan closed out the Bird era. And I can't deny having plenty of "sky" and "air jordans". I needed a history lesson on Rodman, I don't know why because I feel he is one of the most underrated players in NBA history. You know your stuff tikitmb, what are your thoughts on Ron Artest game, reminds me a lot of Rodman in certain ways? Do you think Artest will stay with Rockets?
  • SMH12289
If it wasn't for Shaq, Kobe wouldn't be getting compared to anyone
    • dantheman4250
Not sure about that. He might be at zero championships but he'd still be Kobe. Lebron hasn't won a title yet but he's drawing comparisons.

Also the counter point here is that Jordan probably wouldn't be the MJ we all know without Pippen/Rodman. Not sure why people only want to discuss Shaq when they compare Kobe/MJ.

Having great players do help you evolve into a more well rounded player i don't disagree @ all, (INSERT Stephen A. Smith voice here) HOWEVA! Individually all 3 men are great for what they have did, done, and are doing for the sport. They are ''almost GOD LIKE'' and are admired and in the same breath hated by hundreds of thousands if not millions.

a lot of kobe's game is in his swag and i doubt he's the cold blooded killer he is today without the rings.

  • i wish that shot by bron came in a game-7 tiebreaker
    • dantheman4250
It almost felt that important. A loss here would've been the end of the road for Cleveland barring an amazing rally.

Totally agree with crazyphillyfan, one of the best. =)
  • eagles4ever05
I couldn't believe that Shot I honestly thought Hedo's shot was it James came through
    • Where's the punctuation, bah? Sorry! I'm just a BIG fan for the punct.
  • Yeah, the Cavs BLEW a 23-pt lead but the magic of number 23 appears to be better than the Magic's!! Sorry, Orlando. Time to look for better tricks!!
  • If you like to bet, then nothing should keep from missing out on a great opportunity:make lots of $$$$ with the Cavs. The 2009 NBA CHAMPIONS. U GO C-town!!!
  • Dupree
I think Cavs should be worried. They got beat at home Game 1, they can;t keep their huge leads and theyre going to Orlando. If Orlando wins two quick ones at home the Cavs are done. The Magic match up great against the Cavs, but it wouldn't surprise me if the CAvs won it in 7.
    • Hey, buddy, watch it! The Cavs have got the BIG GOAL ahead:the NBA title. they don't even see the Orlando minus the magic. (Their magic failed to prevent Bron's 3)
    • i, more than anything else, would like (no--luv!) 4 sum1 2 just pick one (!) damn team that'll win what:the game. series. trophy. n essence what i'm trying 2 say is, stop bn luke warm on nothing even 70% 'cause that doesn't build the faith of your audience, or yours either! remember:"n d (i went 4 a d 'cause my favorite clr is blk) b grinning (Ha-ha) was my thurnderbird & i kept it away from d mob (haaaaaa-ha-ha-hay)

Yeah and that shot was way tougher than Michael Jordans famous game winner. First of all it was further from the basket, maybe 10 to 12 feet further. He did not have time to get a good look at the basket and was off balance when he let it fly. He was also being hotly defended. The guy is a freek of nature, to be that big and strong and that fast as well is just amazing.
    • BowlBound
      Placard_complete_small
He's all of that. Did you see that clip of him swishing the ball from way behind the basket and over to the side? He's only going to get better, too. That's scary.
      • giantsrepeat
Hey Bowlbound, what about the half court shots sitting on his ass. And the underhanded shot from way beyond half court in that interview he did in a practice gym. The dude is freaky good.
    • Hey! Hey!! HEY!!! Lend me your ear--SWWWOOOOOOOSSSSSSSHHHHHH: the sound as Bron's 3-pt game-winner pass'd thru (throuhg) the net!! S.W.W.W.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.S.S.S.S.S.S.S.H.H.H.H.H.H!!+!!!

I dont watch Basketball as much as I used to, and I love watching LeBron But there is no NExt Jordan. I could probably watch Re-Runs of that man play for hours on end. Greatest there ever Was, IS and Will BE.
    • don't think so fast!--Bron's just 24! I would bet $23mil (if i had it. hell, I probably will!!) that when LB's finished with the nba, his stats will b better than Jordan's!! NOW THE ? is WHO WANTS 2 BET Me??+??? hell, I can aford 2 pay up 17 yrs from now if I lose. shoot, we can evben sign promissary notes!!=!!!
  • it's 23 and LeBron James ALL THE WAY, baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!+1(!)=23

Great vids. They're even more impressive when you consider how many times the last, desperate, game-winning shot doesn't go in (or come anywhere near it). I don't know about all the comparisons. I'd like to think that each man is free to make a name for himself. There will never be another MJ but there will be men who write their own name in the history books. Also, it's difficult to make comparisons when the game (and league) is constantly evolving. Kinda how the shorts keep evolving. Forgot how much thigh was still showin' in the late 80s/early 90s!
      • I fully know what U r talkin' about. But what about those that don't? Here's a suggestion:try using @ least some proper terminology when tryin' 2 describe something! U should've said, "When a game-winning shot does go n. Not, "When a gws (game winning shot) doesn't go n".
      • tikitmb
        Placard_complete_small
Yeah I agree there will never be another Michael Jordan, but Lebron has definitely made a name for himself. As for the 80's and their shorts, Isiah Thomas shorts bordered on daisy dukes. LOL!
