After the sixers signed royal ivey..It was like..Ok..he's a lock down defender, he's a better three point shooter than anybody we have on the roster, and his personality brings more heat of the bench. However, the sixers just signed kareem rush(39% 3 point shooter) who is definately somebody we needed..but are these signings made to add depth and shooting to our roster..or are they early signings made for when they lose andre or lou...or both??? I can only hope not..but all i know is that we only had a little bit of spending money left and unless we plan on getting rid of Willie Green like i hoped..teams will now have the ability to give offers that we simply cant match

  • I 'm hoping that they are additions. but you never know. even though i like willie green i think if the sixers want to create some more cap space for them selves he might be the guy to go since he has a nice piece of money with his contract.
  • yea dont get me wrong..willie green is a good player..thats probably why we've had him for so long..but he doesnt have anything that he's consistently good at..He was 0 for 19 for 3 pointers at one point..he's a 70 % free throw shooter..his mid range jumper is only decent..but more importantly like you said..he would free up alot of space
  • Starting to get concerned that they are far apart regarding the Lou Williams negotiations. I don't think they would let Iguodala walk under any circumstances.
  • Nice pickup. I think things will be fine with Lou and Iggy. It's just going to take a while because there is no real incentive for either side to give anything and get the deal done quickly.
  • I think you're out of your mind if you think Green is a good player. He's streaky. He can't shoot well enough to play the 2. His ball handling is lacking. That contract is another frustrating left over from Billy King.

Sixers Sign Kareem Rush

Comcast SportsNet is reporting that the Sixers have agreed to terms with guard Kareem Rush. The announcement is expected for Tuesday. In 71 games last season with Indiana, Rush averaged 8.3 points in 21.2 minutes per game and shot 38.9 percent from three. Rush was drafted by Toronto in 2002 out of Missouri. He has averaged 6.8 points per game and shot 36 percent from three...

Should the Sixers Re-Sign Iggy?

Rumor has it Andre Iguodala is asking for a 6-year, $75M deal. Is this too much? No way, says I. He's still young and has a great all-around game: 20pts, 5reb, 5ast, 2stl. If the Sixers don't agree to this offer, or something similar, another team will snatch him up. Anyone who thinks this is too much money needs to examine recent history on free agent contracts. $12...
