Mark Cuban and the Mavericks have averted the large obstacle that presented itself when they tried to swipe Jason Kidd originally, and have rejuvenated hopes of getting the Nets triple-double machine. After Devean George blocked the potential deal, and the NBA ruled that Jerry Stackhouse couldn't be involved in the trade, Dallas moved swiftly and rearranged the deal to make it work. Along with 24-year old Devin Harris, the Nets' primary target, New Jersey will receive DeSagana Diop, Maurice Ager, and new additions Keith Van Horn (retired) and Trenton Hassell. In addition, the Nets will get $3 million and two first-round draft picks. Dallas will also receive Malik Allen, the unimportant one, as part of the trade.

Kidd's Last Stand

Jason Kidd's legacy will be written in the next one and a half years. Years later when NBA experts are debating where Kidd stands in the pantheon of great point guards in the league, they will look at these games as the barometer. If Kidd wins a championship with Dallas, he will bumped into the top five. Passing the likes of Stockton on the way. If he falters...

You're Kidding (New Deal In The Works To Send Kidd To Dallas)

Expectedly, there's a new deal being worked out between the powers-that-be at the New Jersey Nets and the Dallas Mavericks to send Jason Kidd to Texas. Will Kidd head to the West???

For the past few days, I've been hearing that Jason Kidd might be going to the Mavericks. I think it would be a good move for his career...if it happens. But that's also a big move for his family if they decide to make Texas their home. Whatever the outcome, I'm sure it will benefit everyone. The linked article was published today via ESPN.

The "Mountie"

Always gets his man. Cuban is exicted about the Kidd deal, and looking at the picture below, can you blame him?

Why is Dallas Hoping and Not Confident in Kidd?

Dallas does all they can to get a player who has proven that he makes teams better and now they seem like Kidd is a semi-liability to their "stellar" roster. In a league where there is no run away favorite Dallas seems to have put themselves in a postion to gain ground and possibly win the west (they should think that; I don't), but they aren't thrilled; which begs the question, why?

Cast to play the lead in the Jason Kidd movie

Now that Prison Break is most likely done for good I think Dominic Purcell can now focus fully on getting ready for the Jason Kidd biography. I think he would be a great fit don't you? The flick can be called Maverick Pt. 2. make sure to check out the picture

Avery wanted Dirk OUT!

It sounds kind of weird but supposedly Avery wanted Dirk out of Dallas after last years playoff flop. On top of wanting a great point guard in Jason Kidd the Mavs also need a great leader to help them get through the playoffs.

Praise Be To Keith Van Horn | Kidd Swap Nearly Complete

Bare in mind, all of this nonsense has been brought to you by the wonderful NBA CBA, which has never made any sense to anyone. The CBA contains numerous stringent trade restrictions that were probably designed to prevent lop-sided salary dumps, but have only served as the genesis for a salary dump of a different kind whereby teams dump their hefty contracts in exchange for expiring...
