Bad deal. Kidd Is the Nets franchise.. And the player's that they are getting for him are not worth Kidds' value. They been lacking a big man since Kidd's arrival to the team. The closest they got was Kenyon Martin, but where is he now? All they need is a dominant big man to complete the story. KEEP KIDD!!
Sources told ESPN.com that the Mavericks and Nets on Wednesday reached an agreement in principle on a Kidd deal after talks had seemingly stalled last week, moving the teams to brink of completing the NBA's third blockbuster deal of the month.

Devean George Blocks Kidd Deal With No-Trade Clause!?!
According to ESPN, Devean George will exercise his rare no-trade clause to block a proposed blockbuster trade that would have sent Jason Kidd to the Dallas Mavericks. We chronicled the trade and its fantasy impact on FBP earlier today , but apparently it is NOT going to go through.
BLOCKED !!!!
This one deserves an "OH SNAP!!!"
JKidd has just been picked and blocked by a "B Team" forward. Things just hit the fan. Devean George has control of his contract and he can veto the trade if he does not like how it will turn out. So as of right now Jason Kidd is not going anywhere.

Kidd finished with that contest with 13 points, 14 assists, and 6 rebounds (falling 4 caroms short...
Kidd To The Mavs?
So i wrote yesterday briefly about the Jason Kidd trade to the Mavs, which at the time seemed imminent. However, after a couple of interesting developments, maybe not as much.
The first is that role player Devean George exercised his option to veto the trade. He does not have a no-trade option, but rather a little-known and little-used option because of his second one-year contract...
You Wouldn't Agree to a Trade to New Jersey, Either.
It's silly that Devean George, who averages 3.6 ppg, has a no-trade clause. But don't blame him....blame the system.
And furthermore.......you sure as hell wouldn't accept a trade to North Jersey, either.
