Kobe Bryant is struggling to return after surgery on his knee. Is #24's career beginning to slow down as the era of LeBron and Dwyane takes the front stage?
Tracy McGrady, Vince Carter, and Kobe are all becoming high-flyers of the past as the new face of the league develops.
Thoughts?

Kobe and Vince turned out the best seasons of their careers last year, and well, Kobe is 28 years old and Vince in 29. Tmac, his best is behind him but that's due to a string of tough injuries we'll say stemmed from some obscene childhood growth spurt rendering his back useless. He's only 27 though and still more than capable of 27/6/6. Lebron and Dwayne are putting up the numbers now while their legs are with them, but the older savvier players are just as effective for each minute they're on the court.

Phenom Fires His Agent
Next year, fans of the bottom feeders of the NHL will be rooting for their teams to lose enough games to have a shot at John Tavares, the 17 year old star of the Ontario Hockey League. Much like a Crosby or Ovechkin, Tavares has the hype behind him to capture interest from local fans and the skills to keep them watching. However, one person he will not be bringing with him is Bryan...
Birthday Shout-Outs To Wayne Gretzky and Vince Carter
It's January 26, India's Republic Day, and also the birthdays of a few prominent sports stars, Wayne Gretzy and Vince Carter. Gretzky turns 46 while Carter turns 30. Gretzky will probably be remembered as the best to ever play the game of hockey, with his 9 MVP awards. Carter, on the other hand, is playing very well for the Nets, a team on the rise in the Eastern Conference.
Can the Celtics Make it 7-0?
The Nets are in town and the Celtics look to make it 7-0. The Nets will look to avenge the loss on Saturday and prove that they are contenders for the division so shouldn't be taken lightly, even with Vince Carter out. We look at the matchups and keys to the game.
Just Vin, Baby! - Desperate Nets Welcome Back Carter
FRED KERBER,
NEW YORK POST STAFF
22 November 2007
PORTLAND - It was hard to tell who was more anxious to get Vince Carter back on the floor in a game situation - Carter himself, his Nets teammates or Nets brass.
Carter was bugging out, having missed five full games and a partial sixth - all [...]
Carter and the Nets Finish Orlando
This has been an up and down season to say the least. It seems like we are going through winning and losing streaks like paper plates at a barbeque. We have extended this winning streak to four with our victory over Orlando 96-85 on their home court. Vince Carter had 32 points and seven rebounds for ...
If you think that's bad…
I am the only New Jersey Nets fans who didn't know but I just found out about the Vince Carter statue scandal. Apparently his mother donated a life-size sculpture of him to his Daytona Beach high school. I hope someone has told her that pride is still a sin.
Clippers Hang On To Chris Kaman
Chris Kaman was going to have the option to be a free agent next season, but the Clippers had the right of first refusal. Nothing to refuse--he is 7 feet of solid player. Now we know we have an additional 5 years, and at 24, Chris is only going to be adding experience to talent.
Proud to be an American: 12 Patriotic Sports Moments
Sometimes sports can be more than just a game. Sometimes it can transcend into something that is very emotional, special, and lasting. And while we here at Pyle of List often like to take the low road and just make dick jokes about things, this time of year gets to us. Even we must stand up and salute the flag and eat hot dogs and cheer when they explode different colors into the...
Raptors Not Extinct--Yet
The Toronto Raptors built a 20 point first quarter lead and held on for dear life to win 98-96 and stave off elimination by the New Jersey Nets; the Nets still lead the series 3-2 and can advance to a second round matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers by winning at home in game six. Jose Calderon led the Raptors with a career-high 25 points and eight assists before spraining his ankle...
Friday Fire: Who is the Greatest Dunker of All Time?
The Spectrum closes tonight and so does an era. Regardless of what pundits, fans or basketball “historians” say, Julius Dr. J Erving is the small forward on my all time team. History baby, history.

BigCat's Take on the streak
I'm honestly, kind of freaking out about the last few weeks in Bobcats history.? 6 straight wins is a big deal.? Legit chances in playoff hunt is a huge deal.? How does one measure greatness?
In this day and age, 91 triple-doubles could be a good place to start.
Sure there is Oscar's 181. Magic's 138. But Jason Frederick Kidd, point guard for New Jersey Nets is the only active player in the top three with 91 (the top five for that matter).
Night in and night out, he has a chance to add to his greatness with...
