I actually grew up a Pistons fan, big time. The Chuck Daly era: Rodman's short-shorts, Laimbeer's elbows, Isiah kissing Magic (LOL) and winning titles. But this year it's all K-O-B-E for me.

I'm not really a bandwagoner when it comes to Kobe; I've been a fan of him since his days at Lower Merion, which is only a few miles from where I went to college. Kobe and I graduated high school the same year, and are only a week or two apart in age, which is another reason I cheer for him; odd but true. Villanova recruited him pretty heavily, but instead Kobe when pro and 'Nova got stuck with Tim Thomas, who although highly touted did nothing on the Main Line. The only time I cheer against Kobe really is when he plays against the Warriors, and if the F.O. blows up that team and gets rid of Stack/Baron/Monta, I may have to reconsider even that.

The Lakers have been the best team in the league since they got Gasol. They beat Boston in 6.

I think Lakers will take the cake. Detroit is playing some of their best game, but can barely take on a horrible Celtics game. And Celtics are doing so badly given their strong lineup, they can't match up with the hot hands of Kobe.

In my opinion i want to see Paul P, Garnet and Ray Allen get a ring but deep down inside Kobe's a beast and when he sets his mind to it, Its more like a done deal(sorry)

I think it will be Lakers vs. Boston in the Finals and the Lakers will win in it in 6 games.

I am looking forward to seeing who the Lakers will go up against in the finals. Personally, I think it will be the Celtics. It has been a long time since L.A. and Boston met in the finals. Now that will be a very interesting series. I think the series may go to a game 6 or 7. But the Lakers will win the championship because L.A. needs a parade!...LOL

IF EITHER DETROIT OR BOSTON WINS THE SERIES THIS WILL BE A GOOD NBA FINALS. THE PAST FEW CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES IN SPORTS HAVE BEEN EXCELLENT THE SUPER BOWL, THE BCS CHAMPIONSHIP, AND THE WHOLE NCAA TOURNAMENT, I'M VERY EXCITED FOR THE FINALS.

Agreed. Gasol had to deal with Timmy Duncan in this last series though, I think we'll see more from him in this next series. He wouldn't be on KG, right? That's Lamar's job?

I see the Lakers beating either Boston or Detroit. If the Pistons can beat the Celtics in the Garden, then certainly so can the Lakers. Lakers in 6 over Boston, Lakers in 7 over Detroit.

I'm so late to this party! SORRY BRIT! In the beginning, I would have said the Celts. But the Lakers seem to be getting better. So... I"m not on the bandwagon because I'm not really a "fan" of either but, at this point, I'm thinking the Lakers.

No problem Kat Kat! Apparently, I'm late to my own party. Didn't realize while posting this that I would get as much feedback as I have. Anyway, I hear you about the bandwagon stuff. I am in no way jumping over on the Laker bandwagon...I mean, I have always liked the Lakers and I've watched them and cheered for them (unless they're playing PHX) but the Suns are still MY TEAM. It's just nice to have a team that you wouldn't mind seeing win in the Finals, you know? Plus I am from LA, and I've got Laker fans family/friends down there, so it'd be nice for them for sure.


Boston might disagree with you though, on picking the Lakers over them. I'm just sayin... ;)

Yeah who would have thought they would get the benefit of the most lop sided trade in history, pairing a All Star PF with cry baby Kobe Bryant. Lakers never have to start out at the bottom and work, they get bailed out some way some how. Guarantee 95% of Laker fans are bandwagoners.

been a laker fan forever, san diego has no team. Rose City, what team doesnt make a trade or sign a free agent to make their team better. last i checked, kobe was a laker as a rookie, and we were definitely at the bottom the past few years (by laker fan standards). Just sound like you got some hate in your blood.
